As a Director, you lead teams of clinical pharmacists in evaluating new drugs, developing UM criteria (like prior authorizations and step therapy), and designing programs to promote cost-effective, evidence-based prescribing. You analyze drug pipeline and trend data to forecast future costs and develop strategies to manage them. Your work is essential for balancing the goals of providing affordable drug benefits with ensuring patients have access to appropriate, high-quality therapies.

Formulary Management & Strategy
Leading the development and maintenance of the drug formulary, including drug monograph reviews and presentations to the Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee.

Utilization Management (UM) Program Development
Designing and overseeing clinical criteria for prior authorizations, step therapy, and quantity limits to ensure appropriate medication use.

Pipeline & Trend Analysis
Monitoring the pharmaceutical pipeline for new drugs and analyzing drug utilization trends to inform budget forecasting and strategic planning.

Client & P&T Committee Engagement
Serving as the clinical expert in client meetings and leading discussions and drug reviews during P&T Committee meetings.
