The Director of Specialty Pharmacy Operations is an executive leader responsible for the end-to-end management of a specialty pharmacy. They are accountable for everything from prescription intake and benefits verification to cold-chain logistics, clinical pharmacist interventions, and accreditation from bodies like URAC and ACHC.
As the Director, you are an expert in both process optimization and patient-centric care. You lead teams of pharmacists, technicians, and patient care coordinators to ensure that every patient receives their critical medication accurately and on time, while also navigating the complexities of prior authorizations and financial assistance.
