Your Annual Renewal Cycle

To ensure that certificants remain current with the latest advancements in pharmacy practice, CPS requires the completion of an annual renewal process. This process is designed to be straightforward and is completed through your online candidate portal.

Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) Requirements

Maintaining your competence is at the heart of certification. Our CPE requirements are structured to ensure you stay current in your specialty area.

  • Total Hours Required: To maintain your certification, you must complete 30 hours of Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) every 3 years. These hours must be directly related to the subject matter of your specific certification credential.
  • Documentation: You are required to maintain your own records of CPE completion. CPS conducts random audits, and if selected, you will be required to submit proof of completion for all reported activities.

How to Renew Your Certification

The entire renewal process is managed through your MyCPS profile. You will receive email reminders before your certification expiration date.

  1. Log in to your MyCPS candidate portal.
  2. Navigate to the "My Certification" tab to view your status.
  3. Complete the annual renewal application, where you will attest to your completed CPE and continued compliance with all policies.
  4. Submit the non-refundable recertification fee ($250) via credit card.
